Join Varner-Hogg Plantation State Historic Site and the City of West Columbia as we celebrate the 18-minute battle that won Texas its independence from Mexico in 1836.

In honor of the event, docents in period dress will give guided tours of the plantation house and living historians and demonstrators will also be on the grounds to provide visitors with a glimpse of Texas in the 1830s.
