
Part of the Wallisville Project: an island formed by natural and manmade Trinity channels, access to Trinity River. Popular destination for area outdoors people. The TRIRA offers fishing, boating, wildlife viewing, trails, picnic area with tables and shade, fishing at pier and a Visitor Center. The Visitor Center has exhibits on the nature and history of the area and offers many services - water, restrooms, retail and Ranger Station.

Take I-10 east from Houston to exit 806, turn right onto road to TRRC. From the Beaumont area, take I-10 west, take exit 807. Continue on west on the feeder road to the underpass. Turn left under I-10 and turn right onto the south feeder road. Trinity River Center sign at road south to Center (Wallisville Project Road) .
